The 19 year old Portuguese has the attention of all of Europe’s top clubs, with Juventus reported to have had a £75m bid rejected already.

The attacking midfielder has broken a 10 year old record set by Frank Lampard for the number of goals scored from the middle of the park and United see him as an ideal replacement for Paul Pogba.

Felix will cost United a minimum of £100m, although they will face competition from Barcelona and Real Madrid to land the teenager.

According to Sapo, officials from United are in Portugal looking into a deal although President of the club, Luis Felipe Vieira, said he is not interested in selling right now.

‘He has a five-year contract and we don’t need to renew it. He has a clause of 120 million euros, we are not worried.’

United will face massive competition from their rivals no matter who they pursue as they failed to reach the Champions League for next season.

Manchester City are also thought to be interested in Felix.
