Man Utd plan for David de Gea exit

Manchester United don’t want to sell David de Gea this summer – but they are preparing for the worst.

De Gea has just a year left on his contract and could be off if a huge offer is put on the table.

And United chief executive Ed Woodward has drawn up a list of names who could come in should the Spaniard go.

Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak and Ajax star Andre Onana are two names on his list, report The Sun.

Callum Hudson-Odoi issues demands to Chelsea

Callum Hudson-Odoi is prepared to sign a new Chelsea contract – but only if he’s given assurances about his future at the club.

The winger impressed in his debut season, earning a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

Bayern Munich tried to get him in January and Hudson-Odoi has so far refused to sign an extension to his deal which expires next summer.

The Sun report he’s now ready to change his mind and put pen to paper – if the club offer him guarantees about playing regularly.

Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren asking price

Liverpool want £25m for Dejan Lovren this summer – with AC Milan linked with a swoop for the Croatian star.

The Reds star warmed the bench regularly last term with Joe Gomez and Joel Matip both impressing alongside Virgil van Dijk.

And The Times reporter Paul Joyce now reports Lvierpool have put a fee of £25m on Lovren’s head should any deal be done.

Milan are yet to make a formal move for the centre-back, however.

Watford hungry for whopper Birger deal

Watford are in talks to sign Belgium midfielder Birger Verstraete from KAA Gent.

Verstraete, 25, is entering the final year of his contract and could be available for a knock-down fee.

A defensive midfielder, Verstraete has one full cap for his country and his club want him to sign a new contract.

But while he is expected back for training next week, interest from the Hornets means he could be set to leave.

Verstraete also had interest from clubs in the Bundesliga and also the Middle East, but favours a move to Watford.

Man City miss out on France star

Inter Milan appear to have beaten Manchester City in the race to sign Lucien Agoume.

Starsport revealed how City were so keen on the 17-year-old they were willing to offer Sochaux a young player on loan to help get a deal done.

But he’s more keen on a move to Serie A side Inter, and it’s understood a three-year deal has now been agreed.

Man Utd plan Aaron Wan-Bissaka backup

Manchester United are eyeing Norwich’s Max Aarons if they can’t get a deal over the line for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Crystal Palace man is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s top choice to be theri new right-back.

But with Palace playing hardball and demanding a mega £60m fee, United are planning fallback options.

And Sky Sports report a name on their list is Aarons, who played his part in Norwich’s promotion back to the Premier League last season.

Solskjaer’s double demand to Man Utd boss Woodward

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Ed Woodward he wants £130m spent on new defenders this summer.

Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Leicester centre-back Harry Maguire are the two names at the top of his wishlist.

Solskjaer knows he must draft in new options at the back and the English duo are what he’s after, report the Evening Standard.

Liverpool NOT after Nicolas Pepe

Nicolas Pepe has been linked with a big-money move to Liverpool – but it’s been claimed the Reds are NOT actually keen to sign him.

A £60m deal taking the Lille attacker to Anfield has been mooted for weeks.

But the Evening Standard report he’s not a target, and instead Jurgen Klopp is looking to make smaller purchases to boost his squad numbers, rather than a major addition.

Ryan Fraser wants Arsenal move

Arsenal are keeping an eye on Arsenal’s Ryan Fraser – and he’s up for a move to north London.

Football Insider claim Scotland international Fraser has told his friends he’s keen on making the switch.

Bournemouth are understood to want £30m for Fraser – but Arsenal only want to pay a maximum of £20m.

Tottenham snub duo

Tottenham have turned down the chance to sign two players as they continue to chase for Giovani Lo Celso.

Lo Celso is wanted by Spurs but Real Betis are playing hardball.

Betis are holding out for the full £88.9m release clause in the Argentina midfielder’s contract, with Tottenham seeing a £53m opening offer turned down.

But Daniel Levy will keep on trying, snubbing the chance to work on deals for either Sevilla star Pablo Sarabia and Paris St-Germain misfit Julian Draxler instead.
