Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly battle it out with Italian champions Juventus this summer over Paris Saint-Germain star Adrien Rabiot.
Calciomercato claim Spurs will take on the Old Lady, with Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona both no longer interested in the 24-year-old.
Rabiot has been frozen out at the Parc des Princes and is fully expected to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The club had reportedly put multiple offers to the player but the Frenchman will not be renewing.
Real have supposedly turned their attentions towards Christian Eriksen and Paul Pogba, while Barca will welcome Frenkie de Jong ahead of the 2019/20 season after already securing his transfer for £65 million (BBC Sport).
With Real and Barca seemingly no longer interested in Rabiot, Tottenham have a great chance to secure a top young player for absolutely nothing.
The classy midfielder would be a brilliant addition by Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino, with Mousa Dembele having left the club in January.
Rabiot is of course far less physical than the Belgian, but is just as comfortable playing that holding midfield role where he can damage teams with his passing range from deep and technical qualities.
Juventus remain a big lure for any player, so Spurs will need to ensure they make a solid offer if they really want him – Calciomercato do add that they’d be willing to break their wage structure to land him.
