Jasper Cillessen has hinted that he’s keen to move on from Barcelona amid speculation that Liverpool are interested in signing him this summer.

The 29-year-old completed a move to the Nou Camp back in 2016 but has played second fiddle to Marc-Andere ter Stegen and has only managed 20 appearances for the Catalan giants.

Despite Loris Karius impressing in patches in the latter half of the season, Jurgen Klopp is determined to bring a goalkeeper to Anfield and Cillessen has emerged as a target.

Recent reports in Spain suggest that Liverpool have held talks with Cillessen in recent weeks and the Netherlands international has responded to rumours that he could leave Barca.

‘I love this club, but I am a professional and I want to play more than ten games in a season,’ he told Dutch outlet Ziggo.

‘The management already knows that I want to play more but I also read that they do not want me to leave and that they are happy with my work.

‘I am not the type of player who goes to war with the clubs, I have been here for two years, and, for the moment, I will continue.’
