Liverpool transfer news: Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen opens door to move

Jasper Cillessen could leave Barcelona this summer to become No.1 at another club

Jasper Cillessen has opened the door to a move to Liverpool by confessing he wants to play more games.

The Barcelona goalkeeper has been restricted to appearances in the Copa del Rey this season and one match in the Champions League.

At 29 years of age, the Dutchman is keen to be playing more and he has been linked with a move to Liverpool.

The Reds are weighing up whether to sign a new goalkeeper this summer and Cillessen has hinted he’d be up for a move – if he was to be made a number one somewhere.

“I love this club (Barcelona), but I am a professional and I want to play more than ten games in a season,” Cillessen told Ziggo Sport.

“The management already knows that I want to play more, but I also read that they do not want me to leave and that they are happy with my work.

“I am not the type of player who goes to war with the clubs, I have been here for two years, and, for the moment, I will continue.”
