PSG claim Blues Richarlison price tag is too high
Are petrodollar-fuelled Paris St Germain really crying poverty to Everton again like when they tried to nab Idrissa Gueye for some loose change and stale baguettes or whatever they offered back in January?
Even their crocodile tears would probably turn out to be diamonds.
Anyway, reports from Le10 Sport – via Sport Witness – reckon that as they prepare for the potential exits of wide men Julian Draxler and Angel Di Maria, PSG enquired about a potential price tag for Richarlison from Everton and were told €75million – which is apparently deemed TOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!
€75million is approximately £65million.
Forget what Paul Merson said about ruining the transfer market, that’s barely a £15million potential profit on a player who came to Goodison Park a year ago with just five goals from his first season in the Premier League and none since the previous November but has since bagged 13 goals in 35 games for the Blues despite often playing on the wings rather than at centre-forward and has become a full Brazil international.
Given that Richarlison has only just turned 22 less than a week ago, if Everton were forced to sell at any point – and why would he turn his back on the world’s best league for France? – then they should surely be demanding a nine-figure fee given the prices of top players these days.
