Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac responds to Leroy Sane transfer links

Leroy Sane has incessantly been linked with a move to Bayern Munich this transfer window with Niko Kovac admitting that the German winger would be a good acquisition.

Various Bayern players have spoken about Sane joining the German champions on a number of occasions including Robert Lewandowski. Sane still has two years left on his City contract but the Blues’ hierarchy are aware that unless he signs the new deal he has been offered, his transfer value will plummet next summer.

Speaking in a press conference, Kovac was asked whether he thought Sane would be a good addition to his squad, he replied, “Yes. Exclamation mark. You’ve seen his capabilities with the national team. We have to compete with billionaires.

“This has become much more difficult for the Bundesliga. This will continue. The best players play in Spain or England. There they get tens of times our salaries.”
